Motorola EM330 - Stylish Casual Music Phone

Motorola phones have the most attractive clamshell designs. From the RAZR to RAZR2 to the RIZR series and the EM series, they all look great in my opinion. Although most Motorola phones doesn't have much features to boast of, they have lesser price and great looks. They do share a similar design but its attractive nonetheless.

Introducing the new Motorola EM330, a phone that gives you a more time to enjoy music. This phone has all the basic features: camera, connectivity, Internet, network. You can expect good usability with it as it is easy to get used to plus its got a hard working battery that will keep this phone up for at least 3 days or more before charging it again. Well, it depends if you frequently call with it. Anyway, here are details of the Motorola EM330:

Design:

The Motorola EM330 Music Phone has a flip form aka clamshell, its just 94.35 x 49.5 x 17.38 mm in size and only weighs 97 grams. Because of its slim size and light weight, the phone is very easy to hold and keep in your pocket, you can bring it anywhere with ease. The casing design looks a bit like most of Motorola's clamshell phones, only different is its color, features and its a bit slimmer and curvy. The details on the phone looks totally cool making it easily an eye catcher. The user interface and the wallpapers perfectly match the casing color theme. It has 2 screens, one is the big Internal display that is a 1.8 inch TFT 65k colour screen in 128x160 pixels resolution. The other is an External 1.2 Inch Mono Screen in 96 x 80 pixels resolution. The Internal display is of course a high quality screen displaying bright and clear images. The external is used for displaying information about your phone like battery power, the FM RDS information, signal, etc. The Motorola EM330 has dedicated music keys that you can see on its front cover. This makes Music Player access even more easier. The Motorola EM330 keypads are situated just underneath the Internal display, they are ergonomically designed to suit your need for sending messages faster and easier.

Multimedia:

The Motorola EM330 is a music focused phone bringing you to a whole new level of music experience. It has an excellent Music Player has good audio output allowing you to listen to your favorite songs without losing quality. The phone can play MP3 and iMelody. The phone can store up to a 30 MB of songs or just data files and pictures, this is just raw so if you want to have a really powerful memory, you'll have to get a MicroSD memory card. If you buy one, the phone can have as much as 2GB. You wouldn't call a phone a “music phone” if it doesn't have an FM Radio, this is not the newest feature but it will never gets old, its also in RDS which is pretty cool with all the animations. Other than the Music Player, you can watch video clips or even movies if you got a high MicroSD memory equipped.

Calling:

Calling is efficient and comfortable with the Motorola EM330. It has a Quad Band network connectivity, certainly is enough to have good calls and keep having good signals even in between countries. It has GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900 frequencies, switching between them is automatic so you wouldn't have to worry about it. A practical phone to bring on a trip. And as a Motorola exclusive, the Motorola EM330 has CrystalTalk technology which tweaks every sound detail when you get or receive calls making easier to hear.

Messaging:

Communication is the main purpose of mobilephones and the Motorola EM330 delivers. The EM330 can receive and send SMS (Text Messaging), MMS (Multimedia Messaging) and EMS (Enhanced Messaging).

Connectivity:

The connectivity of the Motorola EM330 is fast and efficient. It has Bluetooth with A2DP and USB support for convenient file transfers. This also makes the EM330 compatible to USB and Bluetooth add-on devices such as Bluetooth Wireless Headsets. There's also a 3.5 mm headset jack, you can plug in those headsets and listen to music anywhere you want, even on an airplane just switch it to Flight Mode.

Internet:

The Motorola EM330 is great when it comes to connecting you to the Internet. Its connectivity is powered by fast technologies such as GPRS and EDGE. This technology allows you to have a very fast data rate transfer allowing you to have smooth and fast Internet connection. This allows you to have download speeds like that of a broadband connection.

Camera:

The 2 megapixel camera on the Motorola EM330 is just average when compared to most of today's latest phone cameras. Its got a 8x Digital Zoom but doesn't have a Flash, quite a let down. Well to put it simply. It's got a convenient camera key on the side so you can easily take photos just like a real digital camera. You can also record videos.

Battery:

The phone can last for 8.5 Hours Talk Time or 465 Hours Standby, its a very long time before it runs out of battery.

Overall, with above average features and a strong battery... The Motorola EM330 is an excellent phone to bring anywhere you want. You won't have to worry much about the battery if you're outside the city, just bring an extra or a convenient battery charger. Anyway, if you're interested in getting discounts for this phone better scour the Internet for cheap free line rental contracts as the market is changing and there aren't much of them left. There are affordable monthly Motorola EM330 offers with free gifts, these are discount deals of which you can choose a “gift” for free. Be it a Sony PS3, Nintendo Wii, Laptop, etc.

Need for Speed: Undercover - The Mobile Phone Version

3D games for mobilephones were almost unimaginable for these last few years but then here we are. We are seeing 3D games on our mobilephones. Although not as powerful as today's gaming standards (with fast technology advancement, we're getting there), it's good looking enough to entertain us. It feels almost like the first time playing Super Mario on the Snes, it had the best graphics ever available. Anyway, here's a game from a famous maker of racing games, EA games and their most popular yet in mobilephone gaming world, the Need for Speed Undercover.

Race through tight streets and grind your way out of trouble as police cars will relentlessly chase you down. Although a shot, it's as exciting as the console versions. Your cars are rigged up and ready to boost into high speed using nitros. You'll be racing against gangs and stubborn police cars. Compared to the console game, this mobilephone version of Need for Speed: Undercover is just a sneak peek... imagine the console version.

Well, chances are you already played this exciting game from your Sony PS3 or XBOX 360. If not then I say you should! It's great and the story is interesting but racing games aren't for story telling, it's the thrill the we're seeking. Be assured that the Need for Speed Undercover is going to give you the best thrill ride you have ever played. Don't have a console? You can grab affordable mobilephone deals with free Sony PS3, two birds in one stone. A lot of deals are cheap and are better than buying it on the high streets, almost the same price but you're left without a free PS3 or XBOX 360. You can also compare mobilephone with free gift deals and see if it works for you.

The most addicting game of the 90's, Tetris, is now on mobilephone

Looking at games with great graphics inclines us to buy the game. Even for mobilephones there a lot of good looking games. But there is game that don't need super cool graphics or the need to have a good story either, by that it doesn't need bigger memory space. A game that eats your time easily when you play it. It was easily the most popular game in the past. It was before Sodoku, it was before the snake game on older mobilephones but a bit similar. Do you know what I'm talking about? It's Tetris!

Tetris was the game that made the world addicted to it. You don't need an appealing story, you don't need to get stronger, you don't need super graphics that eats a lot of your precious phone memory! It's Tetris as you know it! The puzzle game that was a long time favorite game of children, teens and adults alike!

Now you can play this addicting game on your phone! It's the classic Tetris with better graphics. It's available on the Nokia N95 mobilephone or on phones that run Symbian Operating System. The controls are intuitive and easy, just as how you remembered it years ago. It's got a new feature, a ghost option where you can see the position of your piece before it drops into place. Takes away a bit of challenge but it's there if you want to try it. You also have game 3 options: marathon mode, ultra mode and 40 lines. Marathon is like the normal mode where you continue to play until you lose and record the highest score you ever got. Ultra mode is where you beat the current high score in this mode in not more than 3 minutes. In 40 lines mode, you create and clear 40 lines as fast as possible, like a “time attack”. It doesn't have the original sound tracks but it's still as fun as it was back then.

You can check other mobilephone games here. And if you're interested on cheap mobilephone deals with free gifts, check on e2save.com or phones4u.com.

The steampunk mobilephone - Motorola AURA

Get ready for some “steampunk” looks! I now introduce you to a new eye candy, the Motorola AURA. It has a steampunk design that will attract retro fashionistas, anime/comic fans, item collectors, teens or anyone for that matter. It has a swivel opening mechanism that will definitely turn heads your way. It looks cool no matter where you look. It looks fresh and the whole casing just looks amazing in stainless steel. You can bet it's durable! It has a scratch-free glass screen! You'd need a diamond or any heavy cutting material or device to scratch or break this glass! It is undeniably the coolest thing I've seen since the LG KG800 Chocolate. Having a cool looking design like this, I doubt it will have a friendly price! Well if you wanna cut back some cash, best you'd a mobilephone with a free gift deal, it would take a while before deals like that emerge but it's definitely worth it. Well, enough with the introductions and let's see the important details that the Motorola AURA has.

Design:
The Motorola AURA stands out, it's small so it is easy to carry. Its overall circular size is only 97 x 47.6 x 18.6 mm and is made of stainless steel, so small but it weighs 141 grams which also makes it feel solid and durable. It has 1.5 Inch Circular TFT 16 Million Colour Screen in 480 pixels resolution. Quite unique huh? The screen has excellent display quality. The screen is exposed on the front, however it changes functionality when you flip open phone. When you flip the cover up, you can see the metallic keypads which looks very nice.

Multimedia:
The Motorola AURA isn't much of a multimedia performer but it won't bore you either. It's got a decent music player which can play MP3, WAV, WMA and AAC+. Sound quality is quite tinny... not very good. You can however watch MPEG4 and 3GP formats on its Video Player. You can also play and download games for your entertainment. And aside from those, sorry to say, there isn't more.

Memory:
It is capable of storing 2GB of files, messages, songs, videos, etc. Although it doesn't have micro memory card support, the 2GB memory should be enough for this phone as it doesn't have any powerful multimedia feature that you can take advantage anyway.

Camera:
As much as fashion conscious users likes to look good, most probably they would want to take pictures too! And what better suits this situation? A fashion phone with great overall camera features. And yet sadly, this gorgeous Motorola AURA doesn't deliver much. It only has a 2 Megapixel camera, not too high but it does the job. It doesn't have a flash! What a turn off...

Internet:
Although the Motorola AURA has failed in giving a good camera functionality, it does excel in other features. Its got GPRS technology which is now the usual connectivity implemented in mobile phones. The phone has a EDGE technology which is 4x faster than GPRS, currently the fastest technology that transfers data efficiently. It's got a WAP 2.0 XHTML browser too which displays almost like the desktop browser.

Messaging:
The Motorola AURA supports SMS (Text Messaging), MMS (Multimedia Messaging) and EMS (Enhanced Messaging), sending and receiving isn't a problem. Pretty good but it doesn't have predictive text functionality, bad news for some users.

Calling:
Calling on the Motorola AURA isn't bad too, in fact it's as good as any smartphone. It has Quad Band network connectivity, utilizing four frequencies in GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900. This means the phone is great for roaming allowing you to have great connectivity even in between countries.

Battery:
The phone has a decent battery to power these high end features, it can last up to 7 hours of Talk Time or 410 hours standby.

It looks like the Motorola AURA is gonna be a shocker especially when you see it's price tag. Well, I'll give you a tip. If you really want this phone you should wait it out months after it's release and check how much it has changed in price OR you check the Internet from time to time again and hope that there will be Vodafone free line rental deals. This way you can cutback some of the cash you'll be spending for this beautiful phone.

Things I like about Super Mario Smash Bros Brawl

Super Smash Bros. Brawl – an epic game that was worth the wait. The hype was totally high and people were frustrated but excited as to when will this game be released all the while playing Super Smash Bros. Melee. This is the most anticipated game for all Nintendo fan boys and gals and I must say it again, it was worth the wait.

Ever since I've played Super Smash Bros on the N64, I got hooked on it (who isn't?). Probably the most appealing factor is that you can play most of the Nintendo Mascots like Mario, Luigi, Pikachu, Link, etc. The game was so awesome that Nintendo just have to create a sequel and named it Super Smash Bros. Melee... and it was awesome , surpassing the original. And now that SSBB is here, we hoped that this would surpass its predecessor also... and it did! Here's what I like about the Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Graphics 9/10
Not as detailed as Playstation 3 or XBOX 360 graphics, but as far as Nintendo Wii capability is concerned, this game has the best graphics. Unlike some people who doesn't understand that graphics isn't what makes a game, I appreciate Nintendo's effort in this game's graphics. IMO, people should really know that it's these “graphics frenzy” makes releases longer and story lacking. Especially in RPG games! It's such a shame. Great games should have great graphics?! Rubbish! This is why most new games today suck. Story or gameplay should come first!

Sound 10/10
Yep, its excellent. Fanboys/gals with be overjoyed when you hear those epic music. From Mario to Zelda, you'll be hearing a lot of them. Ahhh, it brings back memories...

Story: 7/10
The game is basically the melting pot of all Nintendo mascots, but this game actually has a story to tell. It's not as good as their respective stories but it's a great addition. Players will teamup in order to finish a particular level.

Gameplay 9/10
Excellent. It's simple and easy to play, just as intended. People seem to forget that this isn't a serious versus game like Soul Calibur or Street Fighter. I don't like people who bash this game because of that kind of comparison, this is supposed to be a fun game for the light hearted. For kids and adults alike!
Anyway, Brawl's match is slower than Melee, a good thing for those who are still learning to play this game, also for those who already know.

Replayability 9/10
There are a lot to unlock – characters, stages, etc. You'll spend lots and lots of time trying to unlock them all. Even if you've done unlocking, there's still the multiplayer Brawl, totally fun and crazy.

Multiplayer 10/10
This is what this game is for. I give this the maximum rate as its a very fun to play with your friends. You can play with them even if they're miles away, but it's preferable that they are near so you won't experience much of the lag.

Characters 9/10
There are quite a lot of additions on the character roster. There are over 35 characters playable. Some characters from the past games aren't playable though, but that's not a reason why I shouldn't rate it 9.

Conclusion: 9/10
In short, the Super Smash Bros Brawl is an awesome game. The graphics were almost perfect, the gameplay was still very enjoyable, the sound was nostalgic and multiplayer is crazy. Just my type of game to enjoy.

Barely at my top 10 - Devil May Cry 4

Here it is folks, the newest addition to the series... Devil May Cry 4! This has been the most top selling action series for Capcom. Released on the Sony PS3, it is a next generation video game. Most of the next generation games are accompanied by so much hype. These games are in development for a long time and hopefully the wait, excitement and anticipation was worth it. It looks promising and the action value looks awesome. And like all games, Devil May Cry 4 has its own ups and downs. I don't know about you but it is quite a disappointment for me.

This review will not be a spoiler. So if you're a gamer that is quite skeptic about this game, read it and decide.

Characters: 9/10

The game offers a new playable character, and that is Nero. Nero's the new protagonist instead of Dante, don't worry though, you can still be able to play you most favorite overpowered Dante. Nero's quite a cool kid, quite stubborn but nonetheless a very enjoyable character to play. Unlike Dante, he uses Devil Bringer, a devil Arm. Cool huh? He's got a revolver gun and a sword and has his own “Devil Trigger” transformation... a wannabe Dante? Hmm not quite. His Devil Bringer acts differently every boss making it unique. And like Dante, he has his own cool moves and signatures.

Graphics: 8/10

Being released in a next generation console, Devil May Cry 4 has graphics worthy of praise but some aren't that good. The game bosses and the normal monsters are great. There are new ones and some comebacks but with better graphics of course. The enemy designs are cool, detailed and looks scary and odd (well that's how it should be anyway). The background looks good, looks like real ones.

Although the graphics are generally great, I don't like some of them, especially the character designs (except for Nero). Nero's character design is good, he looks like Dante in DMC3. What I don't like is Dante's human character form, his shoulders are rather bigger and he looks older than he is supposed to be. I also don't like the ladies. Kyrie, Nero's love interest, doesn't have that “sweet-sexy” design, in fact her body looks like a man! (lol) Lady's character design also looks awful, I don't mind being sexy but her body figure is just ridiculous. She has way too curved body that she looks like a duck! (lol) Another is Trish, she looks... old, enough said. Anyway, this is all just preference.

Gameplay: 10/10

If you've played with the old games, well you pretty much know what to expect except for some new additions (well of course it should have, if not then this is game would be rubbish). You'd expect a lot of new fighting style from Nero. His Devil Bringer brings a lot variety in his moves. His Devil Bringer allows you to smash enemies like flies, blow them away like they were nothing, cool huh? His sword and gun moves are Dante-like but pretty cool anyways. His Devil Bringer strengthens by powering it up instead of getting a new weapon. You can learn a lot of combos in a lot of variety too. What's best is that you can reset your points so that you will be able to learn a different one, you will also not lose points by doing so. Its really a nice addition as we can't do this in the old games.

As for Dante, well he's still the same... overpowered, but thats what makes him really fun to use. He still has the same mechanics and with new weapons. Wait till you see his Pandora's Box... really wicked weapon.

Sound: 6/10

Average. Heavy metal background music sounds cool but like the past games, its repetitive.

Replay Value: 5/10

I give this a bad one. Fighting the bosses all over again isn't really my type, it's frustrating and its nothing like Rockman. Also when you play it over, you will realize that there wasn't really an exploration elements at all. Well, its like the past games but in DMC4, it's more claustrophobic. The huge environment is literally “virtual”.

Story: 8/10

Its good. Nothing mind boggling but its enough to keep us hooked up. Still has the same entertaining quips and smart comments. The whole story is just about Dante and Nero. DMC isn't really a story type of game, but more on action... but I guess you already know that.

Well, this ends my review of the game. Strong points are its gameplay as usual. Graphics are good, just the character designs I don't quite like. Anyway, buy it or rent it, it's a good game nonetheless.

Sony Ericsson F305

Finally they thought of it! A gaming dedicated mobilephone! It’s obviously not a PS3, XBOX 360 or Nintendo Wii capability, but enough power to run cool games in 2D and 3D. It’s even got a motion sensor! Well, the motion sensor could have been made more in a practical, since wobbling and waving it around while playing and focusing on the screen makes you dizzy... And as far as the other features are concerned, the phone is well built. It's not just for games when you look at the features. It's actually a very compact phone with all the important features intact. It’s just that, it's more inclined on the gaming part. Well anyway, here's my own review of the Sony Ericsson F305.

As a gamer, I am also conscious on the aesthetic part of the phone. Amazingly, Sony Ericsson passed my taste for designs. I like the way the Sony Ericsson F305 looks. It’s slim, just 96 x 47 x 14.6 mm in size and only weighs 97.5 g, and it’s also a slider phone which maximizes space. Because of its slim size and light weight, the phone is very easy to hold and keep in your pocket. It looks like the Sony Ericsson W850i and the N98. It also feels a bit fragile as it's too light, but you'll get used to it fast.

The Sony Ericsson F305 is not only a gaming phone but is also an excellent phone for viewing images or videos as it's got a nice big screen to display that. The screen is a 2 inch 256k TFT Color Screen in 176 x 220 pixels resolution, displays clear images and vibrant colors. User themes of the user interface perfectly fit the color of the casing making it look more charming. Not only does it make look good, the user interface is also very user friendly making it easier to navigate through the menus plus it's got a fast response time which is very nice.

And talking about navigating the phone, the Sony Ericsson F305 has many shortcut button keys. Since its focus is gaming, the phone has a Dedicated Gaming Keys on the upper part of the phone. You can also use the traditional navigation keys. There is a Motion Sensor above the screen which responds when you shake or swing the unit. This is quite an issue, because while playing the game, you are required to focus on the screen. Now, here comes a motion sensor game, you shake or swing the phone in order to play the game. If you shake and look at the screen, you’ll definitely get dizzy! Not good for people with eye problems. Well, it’s still a new technology imported to the phone, I think game producers will make games that will take advantage this feature in the future, and not make you dizzy.

Well, if you’re not into gaming, you’ll still be able to get the most of this phone. Believe me, this phone packs a lot of power than just gaming. It’s got a nice 2 Megapixel Camera with 2.5 x Digital Zoom. Its just 2 Megapixels but it takes clear photos and has Photo Fix allowing you to get only the best shots the phone can take. The phone has incorporated a Picture Blogging feature so that you’ll easily access your blog even if you’re not using a PC or Mac.

The phone has good music capabilities. It’s not as powerful as the Walkman series but it’s good enough to play good sound quality. It also has an FM Radio RDS, definitely a good feature. The phone has TrackID and PlayNow features for you to use so you can easily find those songs. It’s got a Bluetooth Stereo in A2DP; plug in those headsets so you’ll get the best sound quality the phone can produce.

Definitely not just a typical feature phone, it’s an awesome tool for communication. It can send Emails and does SMS (Text Messaging), MMSMultimedia Messaging) and Long SMS messaging. It also has a predictive text functionality which is most preferred by busy texters. You can also send and receive Emails. It has Quad Band network connectivity, utilizing four frequencies in GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900. This means the phone is great for roaming allowing you to have great connectivity even in between countries. The phone also has an excellent Internet connectivity. It has the latest EDGE and GPRS technology.

It’s an amazing phone. Geared to be a gaming mobile phone but proved to be more than just that. It’s got all the compact features that you’ll ever need. It’s got a lot of pre-installed games and allows video streaming too. And in my opinion, the most amazing thing about the Sony Ericsson F305 that other phones rarely has is… the whooping 8 hours talk time or 700 hours standby! Awesome huh?! Grab it now or get one Online. It’s probably better if you get it online as it has more cheap Sony Ericsson F305 deals. It’s even got the best free Sony Ericsson F305 with a free Sony PS3 deal with a very affordable price. An amazing phone meets amazing deals. :p
